4/5/2017 2 Comments Top 10 Features of intranet For organizations looking for a better option to modernize their business processes, there's nothing better choice than the intranet. The business world has changed dramatically over the past few decades. Technology has progressed amazingly since the 1980s, and it's now possible for just about anyone with a laptop and the right skills to launch a business. Intranet application is one of the top software these days. Top features of Intranet can be as- 1. Forum & Commenting Capabilities: Forums not only display certain discussions in a well-organized manner, they also tempt users to participate and share ideas, which can guide to better and faster solutions. If forums aren't a part of the package, you may want to look somewhere else for your company intranet. 2. Ideation & Innovation Management: In order for a company intranet to achieve peak performance, it's necessary that users are able to contribute and talk about new ideas freely. This intranet ideation feature should not only make idea distribution as easy as possible for its users, but support it. 3. Information Discovery: As your company intranet grows in size and scope, it will no doubt become harder to navigate given the means of content. Information discovery is a key part of daily business processes, which means your organization will be wasting valuable time if your social intranet software doesn't have an influential search and categorization (tagging) system. 4. Clean & Meaningful Design: The design of your company intranet is one of the most significant focal points, as it can have a remarkable effect on user experience. Design and UI are related in many ways, but it's important to make different the two, as design focuses more on the visual look of your intranet than how it really operates. 5. Compatibility: What frequently goes overlooked by those in the market for social intranet software is the matter of compatibility. Depending on how your business's network is set up, certain types of intranet software and intranet features may not actually is well-suited right out of the box. 6. Document Sharing:
Many intranet features state a big stake in idea sharing and internal communication, but they're not limited to intangibles. A platform that allows employees to share documents freely and simply is always preferred over the choice, particularly since certain documents are too large to be sent through email. 7. Simple Administration: Great intranet software allows for simple administration that can be handled by employees and those in supervisory positions, empowering users to make smart decisions and add to the health of the intranet as a whole. 8. Employee Profiles: Employees should be given the chance to set up profiles related to what might be found on a service such as LinkedIn, listing their work experience, a short bio, content they've shaped within the intranet, discussions they've taken part in, and more. 9. Spaces & Groups: In order to keep your intranet as well-organized as possible, you'll want to have the capability to create online work-spaces for each department in your company. When departments have their own virtual work-spaces within the community as a whole, discussions, documents, and content can be partitioned so that everything is located in one place and inaccessible from other aspects of the intranet. 10. Customization & Flexibility: Perhaps the most vital intranet feature is customization. There are countless "one-size-fits-all" options out there, many of which market them as being easy to deploy and use. The vast majority of these solutions does not allow for even the least bit of customization and tend to stick to a pattern that cannot be tweaked to fit the needs of your business. Intranet has become a major part of the modern business landscape, and it's not going away anytime soon. It can take time to discover the right platform for your organization, but additional effort you put into your search, the happier you'll be with your social intranet and intranet features once it's been implemented.

Thank you for this summary, it's a nice reminder, what an intranet should offer. Even though this article is from 2017, I still agree with its core points! Flexibility is a huge factor though. Companies are meant to grow and shouldn't be restrained by their intranet solution.

Setting up a business in a free zone offers tax advantages, 100% foreign ownership, and streamlined regulations. These zones, often located near ports or airports, facilitate international trade by providing infrastructure and logistical support. Businesses benefit from simplified processes, such as quick company registration and visa issuance. Additionally, free zones foster a business-friendly environment with reduced bureaucracy, making them attractive for entrepreneurs seeking a cost-effective and efficient setup for their ventures.
